August 24, Morning. In memorizing of Shenzhen’s 30th anniversary of the practice of reform and open policy , Skyworth semiconductor design center, one of the ten industrial projects, was held a grand commencement ceremony in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Ministry of Information Industry, Shenzhen municipal government leadership, Skyworth Group Chairman and CEO Zhang Xuebin, president of related industries of Skyworth Group and Skyworth staff representatives almost 300 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
According to Skyworth, considering the status of China's electronics industry and leading the front-end chain research and development projects, the groundbreaking of the Skyworth semiconductor design center is based on the strategic development of Skyworth Group. As the leading industry in the private economy, relying on a favorable investment environment in Shenzhen, Skyworth Group realized the output value 21.1 billion RMB, 2.65 billion of taxpayers. Skyworth has been accumulated to pay more than 10 billion RMB taxes to the state, donate more than 120 million RMB for social welfare, and support more than 500 supporting companies, indirectly providing 20 million jobs for the society. In 2009, Skyworth’s brand value reaches to 17.836 billion.

The programs of Design covers Video chip design and verification, multimedia chip design and verification, TV control main chip design and verification, T-com timing control chip design and verification, audio power amplifier chip design and verification, video processing chip integrated DDR / SDRAM IP design and verification, LED light new materials research, LED epitaxial wafers process technology research, LED epitaxial wafers localized equipment development and research, LED chip design, LED backlight module design and the test, and OLED display technology research.

According to statistics, China's electronics manufacturers are continuing to increase 3 to 5 times higher than the growth rate of global semiconductor consumption. In 2008 alone, China's semiconductor consumption market will grow nearly 17%, with a total 1,040 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 1 / 3 the total global market. China's semiconductor consumption is more than Japan, North America, Europe and the rest of the world in four consecutive years. After the global economic recovery, China's semiconductor consumption market will continue to be higher than the global rate. According to the investigation agency estimates that by 2010, the global semiconductor production value will grow 10-15% to reach 250 billion U.S. dollars, of which processing wafer production will grow 20-30%, packaging testing production may grow 20.3%, and memory output will grow about 30%. Global semiconductor television-used will reach, a record high, over 120 billion dollars.
